Blower Testing
Blower testing like pump testing needs five parameters to be measured. They are Suction Pressure, Suction Temperature, Discharge Pressure, Discharge Temperature and Input Power. Using algorithms isentropic and polytropic efficiencies are calculated. Flow can also be calculated using the measured input power. All kinds of blowers can be tested including Centrifugal and Positive Displacement (PD) blowers.
Blowers are critical machines for any service be it a textile industry, petrochemical plant, chemical plant, refinery or a sewage plant. They vary in sizes from a few kW to as large as few MW and often need to be operated 24 X 7. In large machines, even 1-2 of percentage points recovered in efficiency could achieve huge energy savings.
With our expertise in the field of aeration processes, large energy savings could be realized by proper study and recommendation implementation. Blower testing helps predict the wear and tear of the blower and the likely causes of excess energy consumption.
